Towards the end of 2019 the hall management committee were aware that the main kitchen was looking a little “well used”.  It was decided that as there had been no large capital project for some time that the kitchen should be refurbished.  A small working party planned the new layout, the biggest change would be deep drawers instead of cupboards so that everything in regular use would be accessible without kneeling on the floor. It was also decided that an instant, plumbed in water boiler would be installed. Various other changes were planned and a quotation was sought from local kitchen fitting company Keith Holder. As Keith employs local tradesmen (plumber,  electrician etc.) the committee felt that this was encouraging local people to be employed in a local project.

The project should be completed by  July 2020, in some respects the lockdown has been benificial as the hall has not had to cancel any catering bookings and a local company has been able to work (in isolation!) during the installation. This has helped us all during this difficult time.
